Project Managers, Specialists, and Labor Force

HotWire currently maintains an office and management staff of 25, with crews of more than 150 wireman, linemen, technicians, and service personnel. When neccessary, we request additional staff from the union hall to support our nucleus of key craft people at our office and on Job sites. this allows HotWire to control job costs while ensuring a ready supply of qualified and trained personnel on an "as needed" basis.

Our Project managers, engineers, and technicians are fully trained and factory certified for each product or service provided. HotWire's support team is one of the finest in the state. HotWire benefits from the excellent relationship company founder and president Troy W. Smith has built with the local unions.

Project Management

Before initiating a project, completion milestones are established on a flow chart to meet the customers’ needs in interfacing various project segments. Daily or weekly project time reports are made for every person on the project and copies are supplied to the customer for approval. HotWire’s in-house staff track all project data, labor, travel, material, and miscellaneous expenses. Using our job-costing system enables us to supply percentages of completion and current expenditures on a weekly or monthly basis, depending upon the input cycle and customer requirements.

Safety Record

HotWire has an impeccable safety record. Our workmen’s compensation modification factor is .78 and we receive quarterly bonuses from BP for safe hours worked. The recent and relevant projects outlined in this document were free of safety violations, incidents, or accidents. This is typical of all HotWire projects. The Wake Island Airfield Repair project received the South Pacific Regional Quarterly Safety Award. We are serious about safety and it shows with our in-house safety program, required meetings, and drug free work place requirements.
