HotWire Electric was started in 1990 by current President and CEO Troy W. Smith, and has been providing superior electrical contracting services in Alaska for nearly 20 years. In those 20 years HotWire has expanded quickly to meet the unique needs of clients in and outside of Alaska, and today there are 5 companies in the HotWire Family.
HotWire Electric is the original member of the HotWire family, and during 2004, HotWire Inc. expanded with the creation of HotWire Communications, a specialty general contractor providing labor, materials, and design/build of structured cabling and communications systems. In 2005 HotWire purchased Electric Inc., an Electrical contractor that focuses on vertical construction and has been serving the Alaskan community for over 45 years, during which they have never failed to fulfill a contract, and have never resorted to litigation. Started in 1973 and acquired by HotWire in 2007, Redi Electric and its sister company Redi Data Solutions provide electrical and communication design/build for commercial, government, and military projects in the state of Alaska.
