Providence Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade
- Anchorage, Alaska
Electric International, LLC was the preferred vendor for this major project that replaces the complete emergency system distribution equipment from the generators to the individual ATS’s. To be able to replace infrastructure of this complexity there is an ongoing effort for sequencing and coordinating the major components, individual feeder and ATS bypass and shutdowns.
Since these projects separate, but integrate with each other and spread out over different timelines the challenges are numerous and difficult. We gladly accept these challenges and have provided the hospital with a team of professionals that are exceeding their expectations
This project has 3 major parts. Electric Inc is a subcontractor on the EPSS portion but is the GC on the other 2.
EPSS – New Essential Power Supply System: to provide up to 10 MW of power generation to the main hospital through MV power distribution.
EDU - Electrical Power Distribution: 2 new 4000A main services for both Normal and new Essential Power Distribution, included rerouting every feeder from the existing switchboards to the new switchboards, also replacing 1 other service due to its old age
ATS replacement - Replacing over 30 ATS with close transition ATS for smoother operations and integrated controls
